Charleston, SC – FirstCoast Homes has been awarded National Housing Quality (NHQ) Certification by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center (NAHBRC). The company is one of only two builders in Charleston to hold the distinction, which recognizes the company for its exceptional quality and customer satisfaction standards.

FirstCoast Homes joins an elite group of home builders nationwide who have successfully completed the NHQ Certified Builder program since its launch in early 2005.

To achieve certification, FirstCoast completed a rigorous process involving field and office training to design and implement a quality plan, design ways to work more efficiently with its trade partners, and map out procedures to maintain the continuous improvement efforts required by the program.

In addition, NAHBRC quality experts thoroughly reviewed the company’s management practices, quality and safety programs, production standards, warranty and sales operations.

The process culminated in an in-depth, on-site audit of the company’s quality plan in practice.

As an NHQ Certified Builder, FirstCoast must undergo yearly audits of company practices and procedures, which is designed to foster continual improvement in home building management that delivers greater quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
